To use the pumps, dispense only 1 pump of resin to 1 pump of hardener. This convenient pump set is designed for use with the TotalBoat ThickSet Epoxy system, the TotalBoat Tropical Extra Slow Epoxy system, and the TotalBoat Crystal Clear Epoxy system.
Pumps are calibrated to automatically dispense the precise 3:1 ratio, by volume. Replace the cap with the pump for each component and prime each pump before dispensing.
The 3:1 pumps are for use with these TotalBoat 3:1 epoxy systems ONLY:
- TotalBoat ThickSet Deep Pour Epoxy system
- TotalBoat Tropical Extra Slow Epoxy Kits (with 5:1 epoxy resin and 3:1 extra slow hardener)
- TotalBoat Crystal Clear Epoxy Kits (with 5:1 epoxy resin and 3:1 clear hardener)
NOTE: If you have a set of TotalBoat 3:1 Epoxy Pumps that came with previous TotalBoat Tropical or Crystal Clear Epoxy Kits, replace the resin and hardener pumps with this new and improved pump set.
No guessing, no mess, and a reliable cure every time
No need to worry whether your batch of epoxy has the exact resin to hardener ratio. TotalBoat pumps are calibrated to dispense the appropriate 3:1 mix ratio of resin and hardener easily and automatically. All it takes is one full pump stroke of epoxy resin (yields 3 parts), and one full pump stroke of hardener (yields one part). The pump heads are easy to attach: simply attach the pump with the white head to your 3:1 epoxy resin container, and the pump with the 3:1 dot to the hardener container. Prime the pumps, and you’re ready to go.
Note: Our 3:1 Epoxy Pumps are intended for use only with the containers for TotalBoat ThickSet, TotalBoat Tropical, and TotalBoat Crystal Clear Epoxy systems. They should not be used with, and will not fit the containers for other brands of 3:1 epoxy. Do not use with other TotalBoat resins.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
-
Which TotalBoat epoxy systems are these 3:1 epoxy resin and hardener pumps designed for?
TotalBoat 3:1 Epoxy Pumps are designed for use with the TotalBoat ThickSet Deep Epoxy system, TotalBoat Tropical Extra Slow Epoxy system, and TotalBoat Crystal Clear Epoxy system. These pumps are not compatible with any other epoxy system. -
How many pumps of epoxy resin and hardener are required with the 3:1 epoxy pumps?
Pumps are designed to automatically dispense the precise 3:1 mix ratio, by volume, so you only need to dispense one pump of resin to one pump of hardener. Do not use three pumps of resin to one pump of hardener or you’ll get the wrong ratio and an improper cure. -
Which pump is used for the 3:1 epoxy resin and which pump is used for the 3:1 hardener?
The large pump with the plain white pump head is used for TotalBoat 3:1 epoxy resins; the small pump with the 3:1 dot on the pump head is for TotalBoat 3:1 epoxy hardeners. -
Are the 3:1 pumps reusable?
Yes, if cleaned and stored properly, pumps can be reused. -
Do these epoxy pumps need to be trimmed to fit smaller containers?
Yes. The initial length is to be used with gallon containers only. Pumps include detailed instructions for trimming to fit smaller containers. -
Do epoxy and hardener pumps need to be primed before use?
Yes. Prime the pumps by pushing down and releasing the head of each pump several times until you get a steady stream of liquid, without any air pockets. -
How do I use these 3:1 epoxy pumps?
After the initial setup and priming of the pumps, dispense the resin and hardener into a clean container. For every one full pump of resin, dispense one full pump of hardener. Mix for 2-3 minutes while scraping the sides to blend completely. For step-by-step instructions refer to our 3:1 Epoxy Pumps Instruction Sheet. -
How do you clean the 3:1 epoxy resin and hardener pumps?
To clean the pumps, flush with hot water, followed with a solvent such as acetone, lacquer thinner or denatured alcohol. -
Can I keep the pumps attached to the epoxy resin and hardener containers, or should I remove them after each use?
You may leave the pumps attached to the containers while in storage. Store the epoxy resin and hardener in a dry location at room temperature. After a while, you may need to re-prime the pumps before use. -
If I leave the pumps on the containers, will the epoxy go bad?
That shouldn’t be a problem because the pumps make the containers airtight. However, you may need to prime the pumps again if you haven’t used them for a while.
